Redington Shores is a town located in Pinellas County, Florida. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 2,338.

1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.1 km² (1.2 mi²). 1.0 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is land and 2.1 km² (0.8 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 67.50% water.

census of 2000, there are 2,338 people, 1,292 households, and 658 families residing in the town. The population density is 2,314.6/km² (5,955.4/mi²). There are 2,101 housing units at an average density of 2,080.0/km² (5,351.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.60% White, 0.21% African American, 0.47% Native American, 0.47% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.30% from other races, and 0.94% from two or more races. 2.95% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 1,292 households out of which 8.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.5% are married couples living together, 5.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 49.0% are non-families. 41.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 20.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 1.81 and the average family size is 2.38. In the town the population is spread out with 9.2% under the age of 18, 3.1% from 18 to 24, 19.7% from 25 to 44, 34.0% from 45 to 64, and 34.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 55 years. For every 100 females there are 95.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 94.6 males.
