Qiryat Yam

Qiryat Yam is a small city in Israel, located 30km north of Haifa in an area named in hebrew HaQrayot with contains the following cities:
  1. Qiryat yam
  2. Qiryat Moztkin 46,000 people.
  3. Qiryat Bialik 54,000 people.
  4. Qiryat Ata 60,000 people.
  5. Qiryat Haim 40,000 people.

The population of Qiryat Yam is about 45,000 people when about 20,000 of them have only came there after 1990.

In a few years all of the HaQrayot would be united and will be one big ciry with about 250,000 people, what will make it one of the ten biggest cities at israel.

There are about 10,000 students at Qiryat yam, and two High schools and junior highs named Rabin High School and Rodman High school. There are also about eight elemantery schools and 15 pre-schools.

An avrage man at Qiryat Yam earns about 9000nis a month which are about $2,250, note that most things are cheaper at Israel so the life qulity is almost as in the United States.

The current mayor is Beny Stalcol but in November 2003 there will be elections for a new one.
