Presov

Prešov (in German: Eperies or Preschau, in Hungarian: Eperjes) is the second largest town of eastern Slovakia (and fifth largest town of Slovakia) at the Torysa river. Population: 88,000 (1991). Seat of a region (kraj) or Higher Territorial Unit (VÚC) and of a district (okres). Seat of the only Greek Catholic (i.e. Byzantine Catholic) bishopric in Slovakia. The town has a historic center.
