Portsmouth Football Club

Portsmouth Football Club is an English football club. Portsmouth F.C. is nicknamed Pompey and is currently managed by Harry Redknapp. Ex-England international Teddy Sheringham is currently captain. Portsmouth play at Fratton Park, which is situated on Frogmore Road in Fratton. Its mascot is 'Frogmore the Frog' and its best known chant is the "Pompey Chimes" ("play up pompey, pompey play up" sung to the tune of a striking clock).

Having already achieved promotion to the FA Premier league, on 27 April 2003 Pompey beat Rotherham 3-2 to clinch the First Division championship with a game in hand.
