Plasticity

Plasticity has two meanings in Wikipedia.

In physics and engineering, plasticity is the propensity of a material to undergo plastic deformation under load. Plasticity that is temperature dependent is known as thermoplasticity.

In neurobiology, plasticity refers to a property of a neuron or synapse to change its internal parameters in response to its history. Neural plasticity is hypothesized to be the primary physiological basis for learning.
