Pierre Salinger

Pierre Salinger (born on June 14, 1925) is a former White House press secretary to Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson and 'ABC News' journalist. He is known for the Pierre Salinger syndrome that relates to the tendency to assume everything written on the Internet is true.

Salinger was appointed United States Senator from California, August 4, 1964, and served until his resignation December 31, 1964 as a Democrat.
