Patrick Manning

Patrick Manning (born 1946) is the current Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago. He has been Prime Minister twice - previously from 17 December 1991 to 9 November 1995 and currently from 24 December 2001.

He is the leader of the People's National Movement which won 20 of the 36 seats in the elections of October 2002. His party mainly draws on the support Black Trinidadians. The opposition United National Congress is predominantly Indian.

Before entering politics he was a geologist.
