1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 11.0 km² (4.3 mi²). 10.9 km² (4.2 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.41% water.

Demographics

\nAs of the
census of 2000, there are 2,262 people, 725 households, and 633 families residing in the village. The population density is 207.9/km² (538.1/mi²). There are 742 housing units at an average density of 68.2/km² (176.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 90.23% White, 1.77% African American, 0.09% Native American, 5.97% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.97% from other races, and 0.97% from two or more races. 1.68% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 725 households out of which 42.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 82.3% are married couples living together, 3.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 12.6% are non-families. 9.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.12 and the average family size is 3.31. In the village the population is spread out with 28.4% under the age of 18, 5.5% from 18 to 24, 21.9% from 25 to 44, 32.3% from 45 to 64, and 11.9% who are 65 years of age or older.
