Orchard Lake Village is a city located in Oakland County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 2,215.

United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 10.6 km² (4.1 mi²). 6.7 km² (2.6 mi²) of it is land and 3.9 km² (1.5 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 36.83% water.


\nAs of the
census of 2000, there are 2,215 people, 750 households, and 648 families residing in the city. The population density is 330.2/km² (855.7/mi²). There are 805 housing units at an average density of 120.0/km² (311.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 91.87% White, 3.84% African American, 0.14% Native American, 2.66% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.09% from other races, and 1.40% from two or more races. 0.90% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 750 households out of which 40.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 79.7% are married couples living together, 3.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 13.5% are non-families. 9.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 2.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.95 and the average family size is 3.18.
