Government

Olympian Village is a fourth class city incorporated in 1965. It consists primarily of a single subdivision of single-family homes built in the 1960s.

Geography

Olympian Village is located at 38°8'4" North, 90°27'34" West (38.134561, -90.459475)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.5 km² (0.6 mi²). 1.5 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 669 people, 217 households, and 182 families residing in the city. The population density is 461.3/km² (1,190.1/mi²). There are 232 housing units at an average density of 160.0/km² (412.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 97.61% White, 0.00% African American, 0.30% Native American, 1.49% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.60% from two or more races. 0.60% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 217 households out of which 43.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.1% are married couples living together, 12.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 16.1% are non-families. 12.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.08 and the average family size is 3.30.

In the city the population is spread out with 29.6% under the age of 18, 10.8% from 18 to 24, 33.3% from 25 to 44, 20.0% from 45 to 64, and 6.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 30 years. For every 100 females there are 97.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 103.0 males.
