Oak Valley Township is a township located in Otter Tail County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 362.

Demographics

\nAs of the
census of 2000, there are 362 people, 136 households, and 101 families residing in the township. The population density is 3.9/km² (10.1/mi²). There are 156 housing units at an average density of 1.7/km² (4.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 98.90% White, 0.00% African American, 0.55% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.55% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 136 households out of which 28.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.2% are married couples living together, 8.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.7% are non-families. 22.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.66 and the average family size is 3.09. In the township the population is spread out with 27.6% under the age of 18, 8.0% from 18 to 24, 25.4% from 25 to 44, 27.3% from 45 to 64, and 11.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 38 years. For every 100 females there are 106.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 111.3 males.
