NoHo

NoHo, for North of Houston Street, is a small area of Manhattan, roughly bounded by Houston Street on the south, the Bowery and Third Avenue on the east, 8th Street on the north, and Broadway on the west. NoHo is wedged between Greenwich Village and the East Village. Some people dispute that NoHo is its own neighborhood, and consider it to be part of Greenwich Village or perhaps the East Village. The name is patterned after SoHo, which stands for South of Houston.
