Nabisco

Nabisco, originally short for National Biscuit Company, is a United States based corporation best known for making cookies and snacks such as Fig Newtons, Oreos, Ritz Crackers, and Teddy Grahams.

The National Biscuit Company was incorporated in 1898 from the merger of three companies, New York Biscuit, American Biscuit, and United States Baking.

From 1985 to 1998 Nabisco was owned by R.J. Reynolds. As of 2003, Nabisco was owned by Kraft Foods North America, which is in turn owned by Altria Group (Formerly Philip Morris Companies).
