Mueller Township is a township located in Schoolcraft County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 245.

Geography

\nAccording to the
United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 227.8 km² (88.0 mi²). 217.3 km² (83.9 mi²) of it is land and 10.6 km² (4.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 4.64% water.

Demographics

\nAs of the
census of 2000, there are 245 people, 102 households, and 84 families residing in the township. The population density is 1.1/km² (2.9/mi²). There are 301 housing units at an average density of 1.4/km² (3.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 88.98% White, 0.00% African American, 8.16% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.63% from other races, and 1.22% from two or more races. 2.86% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 102 households out of which 19.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.5% are married couples living together, 3.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 17.6% are non-families. 14.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.40 and the average family size is 2.62. In the township the population is spread out with 18.0% under the age of 18, 3.7% from 18 to 24, 21.2% from 25 to 44, 33.9% from 45 to 64, and 23.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 51 years. For every 100 females there are 118.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 107.2 males.
