Morrisville is a borough located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 10,023.

Demographics

census of 2000, there are 10,023 people, 4,154 households, and 2,612 families residing in the borough. The population density is 2,186.4/km² (5,659.0/mi²). There are 4,313 housing units at an average density of 940.8/km² (2,435.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 75.98% White, 19.14% African American, 0.18% Native American, 1.20% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 2.08% from other races, and 1.44% from two or more races. 4.82% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 4,154 households out of which 31.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.7% are married couples living together, 15.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 37.1% are non-families. 30.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.41 and the average family size is 3.01. In the borough the population is spread out with 24.7% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 34.3% from 25 to 44, 21.1% from 45 to 64, and 12.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 91.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 88.7 males. The median income for a household in the borough is $43,095, and the median income for a family is $53,316. Males have a median income of $40,204 versus $30,110 for females.
