Montz is a town located in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,120.

census of 2000, there are 1,120 people, 379 households, and 289 families residing in the town. The population density is 153.3/km² (397.5/mi²). There are 395 housing units at an average density of 54.1/km² (140.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 80.54% White, 17.77% African American, 0.18% Native American, 0.45% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.27% from other races, and 0.80% from two or more races. 0.98% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 379 households out of which 44.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.3% are married couples living together, 12.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.7% are non-families. 19.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.96 and the average family size is 3.43. In the town the population is spread out with 31.5% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 33.8% from 25 to 44, 19.1% from 45 to 64, and 7.4% who are 65 years of age or older.
