Mission Township is a township located in Crow Wing County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 733.


\nAccording to the
United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 89.8 km² (34.7 mi²). 76.6 km² (29.6 mi²) of it is land and 13.2 km² (5.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 14.68% water.


\nAs of the
census of 2000, there are 733 people, 323 households, and 225 families residing in the township. The population density is 9.6/km² (24.8/mi²). There are 871 housing units at an average density of 11.4/km² (29.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 98.77% White, 0.55% African American, 0.27% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.41% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 323 households out of which 20.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.4% are married couples living together, 2.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.3% are non-families. 25.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.27 and the average family size is 2.72. In the township the population is spread out with 18.1% under the age of 18, 5.5% from 18 to 24, 25.0% from 25 to 44, 30.2% from 45 to 64, and 21.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 46 years. For every 100 females there are 108.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 111.3 males.
