Mickey Schwerner

Mickey Schwermer (died 1964) was one of three civil rights workers killed in Philadelphia, Mississippi in 1964 for getting African Americans to register to vote (the other two were Andrew Goodman and James Cheney). Their murder and the ensuing investingation were the subject of the film Mississippi Burning.
