Loveland is a city located in Larimer County, Colorado. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 50,608.

1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 66.1 km² (25.5 mi²). 63.6 km² (24.6 mi²) of it is land and 2.4 km² (0.9 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.68% water.

census of 2000, there are 50,608 people, 19,741 households, and 14,035 families residing in the city. The population density is 795.3/km² (2,059.7/mi²). There are 20,299 housing units at an average density of 319.0/km² (826.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 92.85% White, 0.37% African American, 0.69% Native American, 0.83% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 3.21% from other races, and 2.02% from two or more races. 8.57% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 19,741 households out of which 35.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.5% are married couples living together, 9.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.9% are non-families. 23.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.55 and the average family size is 3.01. In the city the population is spread out with 26.9% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 22.1% from 45 to 64, and 12.5% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 96.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 92.4 males. The median income for a household in the city is $47,119, and the median income for a family is $54,337. Males have a median income of $38,971 versus $26,714 for females.
