Loos-en-Gohelle

Loos-in-Gohelle is a city in the département of Pas-de-Calais (zone 62) in northern France. It belongs to agglomeration of Lens-Liévin which gathers 36 communes, that is to say 250,000 inhabitants. Before the agglomeration, it belonged to the arrondissement of ?.

Population (1999): 6,992 inhabitants.

Old mining city, one finds there highest spoil heap carboniferous of Europe.
