Londonderry Township is a township located in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 1,760.

United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 141.6 km² (54.7 mi²). 141.6 km² (54.7 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

\nAs of the
census of 2000, there are 1,760 people, 685 households, and 521 families residing in the township. The population density is 12.4/km² (32.2/mi²). There are 799 housing units at an average density of 5.6/km² (14.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 98.98% White, 0.06% African American, 0.40% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.57% from two or more races. 0.34% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 685 households out of which 31.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.7% are married couples living together, 6.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.8% are non-families. 21.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.55 and the average family size is 2.96. In the township the population is spread out with 22.5% under the age of 18, 8.0% from 18 to 24, 26.9% from 25 to 44, 26.3% from 45 to 64, and 16.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 102.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 99.4 males. The median income for a household in the township is $31,389, and the median income for a family is $36,445. Males have a median income of $26,875 versus $18,875 for females.
