U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 16.7 km² (6.4 mi²). 16.6 km² (6.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.31% water.

census2 of 2000, there are 799 people, 338 households, and 255 families residing in the town. The population density is 48.1/km² (124.4/mi²). There are 526 housing units at an average density of 31.6/km² (81.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 99.12% White, 0.00% Black or African American, 0.38% Native American, 0.25% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.13% from other races, and 0.13% from two or more races. 0.38% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
