census of 2000, there are 286 people, 120 households, and 78 families residing in the town. The population density is 234.9/km² (612.7/mi²). There are 153 housing units at an average density of 125.7/km² (327.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 68.88% White, 0.35% African American, 18.53% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.35% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 11.89% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 120 households out of which 36.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.8% are married couples living together, 16.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 34.2% are non-families. 30.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.38 and the average family size is 2.97. In the town the population is spread out with 29.4% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 26.9% from 25 to 44, 23.4% from 45 to 64, and 12.9% who are 65 years of age or older.
