Jennifer A. Clack

Jennifer A. Clack is a British expert in evolution. She is best-known for her book for non-scientists Gaining Ground: The Origin and Early Evolution of Tetrapods (2002).

Clack is senior assistant curator at the Museum of Zoology at Cambridge University, where she is has devoted her career to untangling the early evolution and development of tetrapods, the 'four-legged' animals that evolved from Devonian lobe-finned fishes and colonized the freshwater swamps of the Carboniferous period.
