Imadeddin Nasimi
Imadeddin Nasimi (
1369-
1417) was born in Shamakhy,
Azerbaijan. He was a
poet who adopted hurufizm, a movement headed by Nasimi's teacher Fazlullah Naimi or Fadlallah.
In 1417, in Aleppo, Syria, he was seized and skinned alive for his poetry, which was considered blasphemous.
