Gravitation (anime)

Gravitation is a shounen-ai anime based on the manga. It's about an energetic and pink haired 19 year old, Shuichi, who wants to become a singer as famous as his idol Ryuichi (singer of Nittle Grasper). One day, the page on which he had written the lyrics to one of his songs was blown away by the wind. Shuichi runs after it, to find a tall blonde man holding it. The man insults them (The lyrics). The blonde man is a famous romance novelist that goes by the name Yuki. Shuichi does become a famous singer (he's in a group with him best friend Hiro called Bad Luck) and moves in with Yuki and becomes his lover, but that is only the beginning of the series. The anime is full of drama and soap opera moments, and has plots typical of shoujo manga. Centers around the musical industry and the romance between Yuki and Shuichi.

The original manga series is currently 12 volumes long and was written by Maki Murakami. It continues the story further than either of the animated series.

The two episode OVA series was released in 1999. The thirteen episode TV series aired in Japan from Oct. 4th 2000 to January 10th, 2001 on WOWOW satellite channel.
