Gerard Colby

Gerard Colby (earlier known as Gerard Colby Zilg) is a former vice-president of the National Writers Union where he is/was quite active by having various chair positions. From 1997-2001 he had the chair of the Vermont section.

Currently (2003) he is working on a book with Ms. Dennett about the U.S. in the Middle East.

In 2003 he got the "National Press Club's Arthur Rouse Award for Press Criticism" for the book "Into the Buzzsaw: Leading Journalists Expose the Myth of a Free Press (Prometheus Books, 2002)" that was edited by the co-award winner Kristina Borjesson.

Colby was on radio and television and lectured at colleges and national conferences.

He lives in Burlington, Vermont.
