They first worked together in the mid-1980s, before going their separate ways; Chris Collingwood to Mercy Buckets, a country group, and Adam Schlesinger to Ivy, who are still a going concern today. Collingwood and Schlesinger reuinted in the mid-1990s to form Fountains of Wayne. The band is known for the comic song "Stacy's Mom".
