Flamengo (football club)

One of the biggest football clubs in Brazil and the most popular, Flamengo is from the city of Rio de Janeiro. Its biggest rivals are from the same city: Fluminense, Botafogo and Vasco da Gama.

Its full name is "Clube de Regatas do Flamengo" (Flamengo Regatta Club), and its colours are red and black. Flamengo means Flamand.

The other big teams from Brazil (including the four mentioned) are: Corinthians, Santos, Palmeiras, São Paulo, Atlético Mineiro, Grêmio, Cruzeiro and Internacional.
