Enigma (game)

Enigma is a free computer game based on Oxyd, released under the GPL. Gameplay consists of maneuvering a marble (or sometimes multiple marbles) around a "landscape" to match pairs of "Oxyd stones." The game has numerous objects and landscape features whose purpose is not explained — as part of solving a landscape, the player must figure out what they do.

Landscapes usually take the form of logic puzzles, although frequently, dexterity with the pointing device (the only form of input) is also required. The landscapes are generated by scripts in the Lua language, making level creation relatively easy, even though no level editor exists.

Enigma is compiled for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, and several distributions of Linux.
