census of 2000, there are 290 people, 129 households, and 77 families residing in the borough. The population density is 94.1/km² (242.7/mi²). There are 146 housing units at an average density of 47.4/km² (122.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 97.93% White, 0.00% African American, 2.07% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.69% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 129 households out of which 24.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.8% are married couples living together, 5.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 40.3% are non-families. 34.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.25 and the average family size is 2.94. In the borough the population is spread out with 20.7% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 27.2% from 25 to 44, 29.7% from 45 to 64, and 16.2% who are 65 years of age or older.
