East Chillisquaque Township is a township located in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 664.

Geography

United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 20.9 km² (8.1 mi²). 20.9 km² (8.1 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

census of 2000, there are 664 people, 262 households, and 195 families residing in the township. The population density is 31.7/km² (82.2/mi²). There are 276 housing units at an average density of 13.2/km² (34.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 99.10% White, 0.60% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.30% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.90% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 262 households out of which 32.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.2% are married couples living together, 4.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.2% are non-families. 21.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.53 and the average family size is 2.95. In the township the population is spread out with 25.2% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 27.7% from 25 to 44, 25.5% from 45 to 64, and 16.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 103.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 95.7 males.
