Dublin City University

Dublin City University (DCU) is situated in the area properly known as Ballymun on the northside of Dublin, Ireland. Formerly the National Institute of Higher Education (NIHE), Dublin, DCU is now allowed to call itself a university.

DCU is famous for its Centre for Talented Youth.

DCU is the location for The Helix.

The land on which the college is based was once the Albert Agricultural College, Glasnevin, previously called the Glasnevin Model Farm. This college belonged to the faculty of Agriculture, University College Dublin.

Currently (2003) DCU graduates are not eligible to vote for Ireland's upper camera, the Seanad.
