Drill (fabric)

Drill is a strong and hardy cotton fabric with the weave on the bias (diagonal). It may be used unbleached, although it is used more often, either bleached, or died.

The lighter weights are used in such articles of apparel such as shirts, safari jackets, blouses, play wear, and/or martial arts wear.

Khaki drill is made into uniforms; boatsail drill is made into sails for sailing craft and is unbleached: it is also made into pocket linings as well.
