Deerfield Township is a township located in Tioga County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 659.

United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 76.1 km² (29.4 mi²). 76.1 km² (29.4 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.


\nAs of the
census of 2000, there are 659 people, 242 households, and 186 families residing in the township. The population density is 8.7/km² (22.4/mi²). There are 283 housing units at an average density of 3.7/km² (9.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 98.94% White, 0.61% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.46% from two or more races. 0.61% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 242 households out of which 34.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.4% are married couples living together, 8.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.1% are non-families. 19.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.71 and the average family size is 3.06. In the township the population is spread out with 28.4% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 26.6% from 25 to 44, 24.6% from 45 to 64, and 14.9% who are 65 years of age or older.
