Dayton Lakes is a city located in Liberty County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 101.

Geography

Dayton Lakes is located at 30°8'44" North, 94°49'18" West (30.145428, -94.821686)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.5 km² (1.0 mi²). 2.2 km² (0.8 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 12.50% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 101 people, 43 households, and 26 families residing in the city. The population density is 46.4/km² (120.4/mi²). There are 78 housing units at an average density of 35.9/km² (93.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 99.01% White and 0.99% African American.

There are 43 households out of which 30.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.2% are married couples living together, 2.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 39.5% are non-families. 34.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.35 and the average family size is 2.96.

In the city the population is spread out with 27.7% under the age of 18, 3.0% from 18 to 24, 34.7% from 25 to 44, 24.8% from 45 to 64, and 9.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 119.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 151.7 males.
