Day for Night

Day for Night is the fourth full-length album by Canadian rock band The Tragically Hip.

Released in 1994, it was somewhat mellower and more acoustic than their previous albums, though it also has its heavy moments, such as So Hard Done By. The songs on this album are not as well known as those on Up to Here or Fully Completely, but by this point the band had established themselves as one of the most popular Canadian bands.

All songs were written by The Tragically Hip.

Day for night is also the name of a technique in cinematography in which a crew films in a high contrast situation, typically at midday, using a neutral density filter, causing the film to appear to have been shot in moonlight.

Day for night is also the title of a 1973 movie - about filmmaking - by Francois Truffaut.
