Clive Woodward

Sir Clive Ronald Woodward (born 6 January 1956 at Ely in Cambridgeshire) has been the coach of the England rugby team since 1997.

Educated at Loughborough University he played as a centre for Leicester Tigers from 1979 to 1985. He won 21 caps for England, and two for the British Lions during the tour of South Africa in 1980.

His team won the 2003 World Cup, beating the reigning champions Australia in the final.

He was knighted (KBE) in the 2004 New Year's honours.
