census of 2000, there are 291 people, 109 households, and 78 families residing in the town. The population density is 1,123.6/km² (2,899.4/mi²). There are 116 housing units at an average density of 447.9/km² (1,155.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 95.53% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.72% from other races, and 2.75% from two or more races. 1.37% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 109 households out of which 41.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.2% are married couples living together, 12.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.4% are non-families. 24.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.67 and the average family size is 3.15.
