Cittaslow

Cittaslow, literally slow town, is a movement founded in Italy in July of 2000. The inspiration of Cittaslow was the Slow Food organization, and its goal was to resist the homogonization and Americanization of citites, where standardized franchize stores dominate.

For towns that fullfill a list of 50 requirements, the organization confers a Cittaslow certification.
