Christer Pettersson

Christer Pettersson was a suspect in the assassination of Olof Palme, the Prime Minister of Sweden. He was tried and acquitted in Swedish court, although Palme's widow insisted that he was the man she saw commit the crime.

Pettersson was accused of the murder after an extended investigation by the Swedish police. The original tip fingering Pettersson has been described by some as very dubious.

Pettersson was awarded a seven figure compensation award for defamation by the police and for wrongful imprisonment. He has since made money by selling his tale to newspapers.

Another Christer Pettersson is the founder of SVEROK and one of the authors of the Trygg-Torkel game.
