Cedarville Township is a township located in Menominee County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 276.

Geography

United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 204.7 km² (79.1 mi²). 204.5 km² (78.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.13% water.

Demographics

\nAs of the
census of 2000, there are 276 people, 138 households, and 89 families residing in the township. The population density is 1.3/km² (3.5/mi²). There are 384 housing units at an average density of 1.9/km² (4.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 97.10% White, 0.36% African American, 1.45% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.09% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 138 households out of which 13.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.1% are married couples living together, 1.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 34.8% are non-families. 31.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.00 and the average family size is 2.48. In the township the population is spread out with 12.3% under the age of 18, 2.9% from 18 to 24, 19.6% from 25 to 44, 43.5% from 45 to 64, and 21.7% who are 65 years of age or older.
