Camden is a town located in Wilcox County, Alabama. As of the 2000 census, the population of the town is 2,257. The city is the county seat of Wilcox County6.

There are 868 households out of which 35.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 37.6% are married couples living together, 27.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 32.7% are non-families. 31.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.45 and the average family size is 3.09.
