California Lutheran University

In higher education, California Lutheran University (CLU) is an ELCA-affiliated university in Thousand Oaks, California. Only a minority of its student body is Lutheran.

As of 2004, CLU is a participant in the Common Application program.

Academics

As of 2004, a scholarship offered by CLU is the Presidential Scholarship. One of the requirements for a student to earn this scholarship is to have a GPA of at least 3.75, and to have scored highly on either the SAT or the ACT (M. Pfeiffer, personal communication, 2004).

In the Church Relations Office, one of the most important (if not the most important) position is Assistant to the President for Church Relations. As of 2003, this role is currently fulfilled by Pastor Reg Schultz-Akerson (R. Schultz-Akerson, personal communication, December 18, 2003).
