C. Lloyd Morgan

C. Lloyd Morgan (Conwy Lloyd Morgan) was a nineteenth century British psychologist.

Lloyd Morgan was professor of psychology at the University of Bristol. He is best remembered for coining the proposition now known as Morgan's Canon or Lloyd Morgan's canon. Although no more than a specialised form of Occam's razor, it played a critical role in the growth of the prestige of behaviorism in twentieth century academic psychology.
