Blairsville is a city located in Union County, Georgia. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 659. The city is the county seat of Union County6.

census of 2000, there are 659 people, 226 households, and 101 families residing in the city. The population density is 240.0/km² (619.7/mi²). There are 261 housing units at an average density of 95.1/km² (245.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 86.04% White, 9.10% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.30% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 2.12% from other races, and 2.43% from two or more races. 3.64% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 226 households out of which 23.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 27.4% are married couples living together, 15.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 54.9% are non-families. 50.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 22.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 1.95 and the average family size is 2.92. In the city the population is spread out with 14.3% under the age of 18, 15.2% from 18 to 24, 39.0% from 25 to 44, 17.6% from 45 to 64, and 14.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 35 years. For every 100 females there are 151.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 167.8 males.
