Battle of Vouillé

The Battle of Vouillé near Poitiers, France spring 507 between the Franks commanded by Clovis and the Visigoths of Alaric II.

Clovis and the Roman Emperor of the Orient Anastase I agreed that each will attack the Goths on their side.

The Franks crossed the Loire river. Clovis killed himself Alaric.

It allowed the Franks to control the southwestern part of France.
