Battle of Plassey

The Battle of Plassey was a battle between the forces of the British East India Company and of Siraj ud Dowla, the Nawab of Bengal. The battle was very decisive, ending in a total victory for the British.

Tactics: The British general Robert Clive's forces total some 3000 and the Nawab's some 50,000. The superior British artillery ultimately decided the issue, in combination with bribery of the Nawab's troops through Mir Jaffer, the uncle and general of the Nawab.
