American politician,
has been a
Democratic
member of the
United States House of Representatives since
1999,
representing the 9th District of
Indiana. He was born in
Seymour, Indiana,
was educated at
Furman University in
Greenville, South Carolina, and was a member of the Indiana House of Representatives before entering
the House.
