Bannock County is a county located in the U.S. State of Idaho. As of 2000, the population is 75,565. The county's county seat is Pocatello, Idaho6.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,972 km² (1,147 mi²). 2,883 km² (1,113 mi²) of it is land and 88 km² (34 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.98% water.

The racial makeup of the county is 91.29% White, 0.59% Black or African American, 2.91% Native American, 0.99% Asian, 0.16% Pacific Islander, 2.08% from other races, and 1.98% from two or more races. 4.68% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 27,192 households out of which 36.50% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.70% are married couples living together, 10.00% have a female householder with no husband present, and 29.30% are non-families. 22.80% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.60% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
